Is Yachats, Oregon a good family vacation spot in late July?

My family and another are planning a vacation this summer. Yachats is one possibility, but not sure it’s worth it. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Yachats is very nice but it is kind of isolated. If you are looking for solitude and lots of family time then it will rock! The beach is nice and the state park is very cool. If you are looking to dine out or do the “tourist” thing then I would consider Newport or Seaside since they have a ton of activities such as arcades & restaurants. If I remember right Yachats is about thirty minutes from “town”
