Are the beaches in Port St Joe dog friendly?
I know Cape San Blas has dog friendly beaches but are these two areas about the same? everytime I look at rentals for Port St. Joe I, always have Cape San Blas pop up. Are they in the same county or what? A friend said he went to port St. Joe years ago and the odor was terrible. Is it still the same? Any restaurants dog friendly?
PSJ and Cape San Blas are both in Gulf County – as long as your dog has a leash you are welcome to bring your pooch to the beach – take note of the doggie clean up bags stationed at each of the beach boardwalk entrances just in case you need to scoop during your beach romp 
The town of Port St Joe has no real “beach” – water access via the marina – most locals beach it of Hwy 98 at St Joe Beach (other side of the bridge) or further down in Bay County in Mexico Beach – Hwy 386 is the demarc between Gulf Co & Bay Co – that awful smell was Arizona Chemical and much to the delight of tourists & tourist lovers it closed this summer!!!!
