Need ideas on front yard.?
Im in a rental house with a large front and back yard, since the house is not mine, I need to find inexpensive ways to make it look nice with flowers, plants and anything else, Any cheap ideas?
Annuals are inexpensive flowers that complete a life cycle in 1 year. You can grow them from seed. Many varieties are “self sowing” which means if you leave the dead flower heads on in the fall they will reseed themselves. You should cut the dead flower heads off all blooming season but leave the last batch just before the first frost.
Most counties in the US have a County Extension Service with a Master Gardener program associated with it. Master Gardeners are local experts who know the soils and growing conditions in your area. Try getting advice from them on annuals that do well where you live. It is free and they love to share their knowledge.
