How much is a home rental in Austin Tx?
I looking for 2 or 3 bedrooms and a yard. Where is the “posh” area? Where is the “bad side of the tracks”?
I NEED TO LEAVE LOS ANGELES OR MY EYES WILL POP OUT OF MY HEAD! I rented out my condo in a drug infested section 8 neighborhood. Seems like this is the lifestyle middle class people live here in Los Angeles. I am now living at my mom’s ranch with my husband though the holidays, but will be in TX soon!
The “posh” area is west of Loop 1 (Mopac) and the least desirable area is east of I-35 and the area referred to as “North Austin”. I suggest you use the local MLS website to do a search: www.austinhomesearch.com You can select “Lease” on the first page and it will give you listings of all the homes for lease in Austin and surrounding suburbs. You’ll be quite surprised what you can get for the money here. It also has a map of the areas. Central and West/Westlake are going to be the most expensive, but there are lots of nice areas that are more affordable.
