Crossing from Brownsville into Matamoros. Want to park & walk across. Best spot to leave rental overnight?

I’ll have a rental car and want to safely park it in the ol’ USA and walk across into Mexico, I’ll stay a couple of nights in Matamoros., at the Holiday Inn. Address is AV PEDRO CARDENAS 5001. I’m wondering what Border Crossing / Bridge is the best to cross, when the whole “leave the car and hotel location” thing is taken into consideration. . .

As you’re coming into Brownsville, you’ll see that the cross streets are numbered. Turn right on 14th this becomes Sam Perl Blvd. There’s a motel on Sam Perl–I park there like your a guest there. Then you can continue to walk down Sam Perl to Mexico Ave. and walk through the border station. Then you’re in Matamoros.
