i need a two-day plan for miami?
I won a 3-day, 2-night vacation to Florida. I’m staying in Ft. Lauderdale but want to visit South Beach. I need an itinerary of essential things to do. Thnigs I can squeeze into 2 days — because I am leaving on the third day of course. The vacation sounded better when I won it. Nonetheless, I will make the best of it.
I ‘m thinking South Beach shore, art-deco district, clubs at night, little havana. I’m getting a rental car. Is there anywhere to park long-term?
Any suggestions? Should I go anywhere in Ft. lauderdale?
You should start off by visiting Little Havana, visiting restaurants, domino park, just mainly for local cuban food. From there you could travel down 8th st which is Little Havana and make your way through Downtown Miami to Miami Beach. In Miami Beach is really going to come down to your tastes. Miami Beach has a lot of places to visit, local shops, South Beach, Restaurants, aquatic activities, site seeing, helicopter tours, museums and nightclubs. You could spend the whole day at Miami Beach and later going clubbin. There is a lot of variaty of night clubs all mostly on the same street. I would suggest first taking a walk down South Beach to get a feel of the ambience.
Other places I would suggest to visit is Bayside which is a shopping place right next to the water and has restaurants, boat tours around Star Island, local bands playing or other events. Other places worth visiting during the day are Parrot Jungle Island, Metro Zoo, Performing Arts Center, Miami Seaquarium, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. Other places for nightclubs are Downtown Miami and I would recomend going to Coconut Grove which also has local shops, site seeing, restaurants and a variaty of nightclubs.
For long term parking Miami International Airport and some hotels offer. In Ft. Lauderdale there is one place I would recomend going, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, for casino, restaurants, shows and nightclubs.
