Visa to Luxor, Egypt?
Hi
Me and my family 3 adults and 2 children Age:13,15 are going to go to egypt in summer holidays for 2 Weeks and i was wondering do i need a visa we will be arriving at hurghada international airport and we will stay for 1 night there and than travel to luxor for the rest of 13 nights and come back to hurghada to catch our flight back on the 15th day and i was wondering do i need 2 visa for 2 different places or just 1 and where to get it from the embassy in london or airport!!!
please give as much info as possible
Shaheer Khan
Well good afternoon again….
you will each need a visa which you can buy in the airport. It will cost you $15 each. you can pay in english £ or $ or Euros. Assuming you will be paying in english pounds it will cost you approximately £55 in total, depending on the exchange rate of the day. This is also of course assuming you have an english american OR european passport.(that is not a sarcastic remark, many nationalities ask this question) you also need to have at least 6 months validity on your passport when you travel.
Your visa will allow you to travel to luxor and back. i would not recommend buying from the embassy in London as it will cost you more and you will also need to include photos.
on arrival at your egyptian airport, you will see bank kiosks in the arrivals hall of the airport. You take all your passports and the cash to one of these bank kiosks, hand it all over and they will stick in a visa and give you a small amount of change in EP. i would also recommend that you look at the web site i previously recommended as it details scams run by others to charge you more than the correct amount.
