Holiday Advice please…………….?

I have 2 kids, aged 14 and 8 and have always avoided the Spain/package holiday thing. I am however now giving into pester power and have agreed to go to Mallorca this summer. I have no idea what the area or hotels/villas are like and am desperate to aviod ending up somewhere grotty. Can anyone recommend a particular area/hotel or villa ? We all like a bit of luxury and money is not an issue-just want to avoid the holiday from hell !! Thanks

hi , the pollensa area of majorca is ( in my opinion ) the nicest area of the island. avoid the major resorts -alcudia , palma nova etc as these are package resorts.
as for the villa try james villa company , they do some very nice ones in the countryside surrounding the pollensa area, some are very nice & secluded which is what my wife & like & it sounds like these would suit your needs also. not cheap but worth it as you avoid the dreaded package holiday experience.
