Help with this Math problem?
An economy car rented in florida from National car rental on a weekly basisbasis costs $95 per week. Extra days cost $24 per day until the day rate exceeds the weekly rate, in which case the weekly rate applies. find the cost C of renting an economy car as a piecewise-defined function of the number x days used, where 7 <= x<,=14. graph this function. Note any part of a day counts as a full day
This piece-wise linear function has three pieces as detailed below.
1) c = 95, x = 7
2) c = 95 + 24x, 7< x <14
3) c = 190, x = 14
It is not hard to graph this piece-wise linear function. Unfortunately, I cannot show a graph in this dialog box but I will try to describe it.
Graph x on the horizontal axis and c on the vertical axis.
1) Single point elevated to c=95 from the point over x=7
2) Sloped line between 7 < x < 14, open circles on 7 and 14, slope = 24.
3) Single point over x=14 elevated to 190.
