Rental Deposit Query?
My sister and her friend booked a Vacation Rental Studio for Memorial in Orlando for the weekend. When they arrived the studio had not been cleaned. They called the owner who apolgised and said the maid had let her down but she was on her way and would be there to clean the studio with a couple of hours.
In the meantime my sister’s friend who was annoyed decided to book into another hotel, so they checked out. Are they entitled to a refund from the owner of the studio? They had paid for their weekend stay in advance, but did not stay there.
sorry to say , that the owner is not obliged to refund anything , for your friend broke the agreement by taking it into her own hands, a reasonable excuse was given by the owner , but you did not give her the chance to prove it to be a genuine mistake threw no fault of her own .
I AM SURE IT IS NOT THE NEWS YOU REQUIRED, BUT THAT IS THE LAW.
now what you could do is write a nice letter and say that your friend was disappointed and felt as a weekend break it had been spoilt, then Possible the owner may offer you another weekend break free , or at a discount , but i am afraid your friend did the damage , by being a little impatient.
