Temp job question, Please help!?
I’ve been working on a temp job with no definite dead line for 3 months now (I don’t know if it will trun into perm or something esle,when I interviewed for the job, they never told me if this temp to perm. I took the job becasue I reallly needed the money and also i didn’t want to leave a big gap on my resume), The pay is not bad, however , I would prefer something permenant (so i can enjoy the medical benefit, sick leaves and vacations). My question is now Is it appropriate for me to ask either my temp agency or the company i now temp how long the job will last? I am also actively looking for other permenatnt job of course. I personally feel this job will not be turned into perm since I’ve told if you have been to temp job for 3 months and they have not offered you anything. they probably won’t.
Please help any advise will be greatly appreicate.
Since it is a temp job, the agency would most likely terminate you before you are considered a regular employee, under the law, by virtue of your length of service.
Talk to your agency about your concerns. In the meantime, start looking for a permanent job.
