I’m trying to find a rental home in Woodbridge, VA that will let me have 3 dogs?
My husband just got a job in Washington DC with a private security company. He will have his K9 and then I have 2 others. We are having so much trouble finding a place. Does anyone know anybody that has a 2 BR/ 1Bath house for rent under 1600.00 a month that will rent to us. We don’t want to rent a apt, townhouse or condo…because of the animals…just to let everyone know I am NOT giving up my dogs! All suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks
I feel your pain. I would recommend you continue to do your search and offer the landlord a non-refundable pet fee to show your commitment. I found that the issues are usually that the pets damage the carpet no matter how well trained. A “Pet fee” of $1,000, along with the normal deposit is a good enough incentive that should cover the replacement of carpets or other pet damages. I would approach the landlords even though they stated “no pets” – when faced with the additional fee, they have accepted. Keep trying.
