What protection do I have when privately renting a villa in Florida?
l’m looking to rent a privately owned villa in Florida for a holiday instead of taking a package deal. Where would I stand if weeks before I went, the villa burnt down or similar. Would I be covered under my travel insurance policy or is it the risk you take. I understand package deals are ABTA bonded or similar but I need to know what protection I have. What is everybody else’s experience?
Considering the protections and enforcements for Florida renters in general, probably little. Welcome to the wild foreclosing South. Florida didn’t get all these foreclosures by being honest and smart you know, but I look forward to seeing other answers to the contrary.
