vacation rentals in siesta key?
Im looking to rent a condo or house in siesta that is on the beach from may 24, 2011 to may 31, 2011. Something preferably under $1700/wk and on Midnight Pass, but directly on the beach. I’ve looked on vrbo.com but its really hard to find exact on the beach rentals. if there are any places you know of or any sites where the criteria is more specific to the location that would be great!

Siesta Key Beach Condo Rental
which is better, Sanibel or Captiva for our family?
looking to vacation in late July/early August. We have kids 11years and 8 years old. We would like to rent a condo, home or suite at a resort. We’ve heard Sanibel closes shops around 9:00pm.
We’re night owls. Can you tell me more about both Sanibel and Captiva?

Skip both Sanibel and Captiva. It’s not worth the ridiculous toll to cross the only bridge the goes onto the islands, pay the higher price for a place to stay, and then find yourself desperately looking for exciting things to do besides picking up seashells, or find anything open in the late evening. Especially on Captiva. It’s all over-priced. If I HAD to choose one, I’d choose Sanibel.
Try Fort Myers Beach, just south of Sanibel. The beach is just as nice and there’s a good variety of things to do, including places that actually stay open after the sun sets. Several big-name resorts are in the area, too.
