Is it possible to rent a car in Ireland and return it in another country?
I am going to Europe for 14 days starting in Ireland, stopping off in England, France, Germany, and leaving from Italy. Would it be possible to rent a car in Ireland and drop it in any of these other countries or would it be better to take the train? Something you should know, 4 people would be splitting the cost of the car rental.
Thanks!
It might be possible but you would have to rent from one of the major firms like Hertz, and they will probably slap on a huge extra charge.
I think it would be better to rent a car in each place, then you can go for the cheaper local firms. For travelling from Ireland to England check out the cut-price airlines Easyjet and Ryanair. Trains in the UK are generally less reliable, less frequent and more expensive than on the continent, and of course if you take a train from Ireland to England you will get wet.
If you are staying mostly in London when you are in England, I wouldn’t even think about driving. Public transport is ok there but the traffic is terrible.
Any possibility RENT prices will go down a bit in the cities?
I do have my own opinion about the city I’ve lived in for around 30 years, and should think that most metropolitan areas are about the same. In mine, for example which is in Florida, there’s over abundance of houses and condominiums for rent (and of course for SALE)_a great amount of those already vacant, but still rent prices have not gone down, and I think have actually gone up in the last few months.
What happens when those landlords or individual owners cannot pay the upcoming taxes? By lowering rent a bit they’re surely to have it rented.
rent prices will never go down only UP. when gas goes up everything has to follow.
