How long to extend a working holiday visa?

I’m currently in Australia on a working holiday visa. I’m due to complete the 88 days of harvest work I need to extend and will have about a month left to apply for my extension- does anyone know roughly how long it takes to process the visa extension? Is it done online or do I need to stay in one place while it goes through the system?

You can apply online. It will take up to 3 weeks to be granted, but probably less than that – make sure you provide all of the ’specified work’ proof and any other required documentation so there are no holdups. Don’t leave it too late to apply, but don’t apply too early either – the new visa will cancel the old one. You’ll almost certainly be given a Bridging Visa A if it doesn’t come through in time.
