2 bedroom vacation rental
Who is the best vacation rental company in the cote de azur?

I need to rent a furnished villa for 2 months while I look for a year rental. The problem is the is a last minute trip with my husband and kids so we need a minimum of 3 bedrooms. I would prefer at least 4. It needs to be between nice and cannes and have a pool. I really like antibes. Everywhere is full. Does anyone know of a good vacation rental company in that area? Merci

It is very last minute, but I found a site that may help:

holiday villas in majorca
Holiday in Majorca?

Can anyone recomend a good villa (fair cost) for me to use.I have two young children who like a pool? I would prefer to walk to the resteraunts/bars in the evening.
Thanks for your help.
Trevor

Hi there.

Villas with pools in Majorca within walking distance to amenities especially in summer do not come cheap!
Most villas are for those preferring to “get away from it all” and appeal to independant holidaymakers who don’t mind hiring a car. Certainly those few that are within walking distance to civilisation are what everyone is looking for and not that easy to come accross at a fair price. When demand is high, you can be sure that the prices are sky high!

Heres some links for you- have a good look, there are a few in Cala D’or you might like. Pollensa is also a popular choice, but many really require car hire.

What will the kids do once they’re fed up with the pool? Its not as practical and lovely as it sounds if you have bored kids.

I have to be honest and say that because of the cost involved for a family of 4, I reckon you’d be as well in a nice hotel, with HB or even all inclusive- it’s much better value. Villas are good for groups of friends/larger families ot even 2 families holidaying together.
Villas are obviously very appealling and idyllic, but the cost to a smaller family all too often puts most people off.

Have a look at www.medhotels.com for some cracking deals on accomodation only- look at nothing other than 4 & 5 star hotels- forget the bog-standard 3 star rubbish Majorca is most renowned for, and you will have a great holiday AND your poor wife will have a holiday too!

All the very best of luck- have a great time
