Where should we go on vacation?

My parents want to take us on a vacation – there are 4 of us (dad – 55, mom – 54, me (female) – 25, my brother – 21. We live in the Dallas, TX area.
We aren’t looking for “the vacation of a lifetime” or anything, mainly just to relax, have fun, and be together.
Comparable vacations (in terms of cost and distance) we’ve taken in the past are – a week at an all inclusive resort in Cancun, a week in Estes Park Colorado (Rocky Mountain national park), a week in a rental house in the Texas Hill country, a week in a beachfront hotel in South Padre, that kind of thing.

The problem is this – some of us DON’t like beaches where the water isn’t clear (murky water…uugghhh), Colorado is too far to drive, and we want something different than the Hill country. We want somewhere there are things to do, yet you can just hang out too.

Oh and we want to go in August.

One more thing, we really aren’t interested in a cruise. We get along, but not well enough to share a cabin. THANKS!!

A nice place to take a vacation is to walt disney world in Orlando Florida .Has something for every age group. You can
book a complete package for a affordable price.

Where is the cheapest to go on vacation?

My fiance’ and I are trying to save for a wedding and a house, but we would still like to go on a vacation this summer.. any ideas? We live in PA. We would like to take a week. Driving would probably be cheaper than flying. I don’t know if sharing a villa with people we don’t know would be ok, anyone done that before? We could afford a hotel if its like under $60 (we only want to spend around $500 total including food etc). We don’t really have anyone out of state that we would want to go stay with either. Should we just camp out in the back yard? Haha. All ideas are appreciated.
Laugh-n-fart – Nice…

There have to be a thousand places in PA you haven’t gotten around to visiting. Tell all your friends you’ll be out of town but just become tourists in your own area. Use the extra money to dine out a bit, but really spend time with the museums and other sites that you enjoy. A nice picnic, a walk along a river, one nite in a real comfortable hotel. Your time together is what is important.
