How much money do I need for a vacation to California?
I’m just wondering how much it would cost for 2 people (24 yr old male, 22 yr old female) to spend 7 days, 6 nights (actually only 5 full days b/c of traveling) in California on a vacation/trip. We will mainly be in Orange County and maybe travel to San Diego or LA. Since I’ve never been and don’t know how much things cost, what is a reasonable amount for a daily budget or a total dollar amount? We don’t want to “just get by” yet we don’t want to blow all our money either. Looking for a ballpark number somewhere in the middle (or middle low end). I don’t mind being frugal, yet want to still do a couple cool things. And I definitely want to make sure I have enough (for 2 people) for just the basics and to be able to survive.
**Our airfare, rental car + gas, and housing are already taken care of. So please DO NOT factor this into it.
We basically just need food, spending money, limited souvenirs and whatever else may come up.
probably like $500 each. that’s how much I spend when I go to LA and I live in California!
