Timeshare rental help?
I am interested in selling or renting my timeshare/vaction club membership in Alcapulco, Mexico. Does anyone have any suggestion. on reputable companies that can help me with this, what companies to stay away from and/or how to do it myself. thanks for your help.
Depends on what your doing, if your renting, then Redweek is an ok site… the one downside to that site is the fact you have to pay a $15 membership fee just to browse the available inventory. Not everyone wants to pay a fee just to make an offer when other sites let you do it free of charge. My advice is to do some legit research before you make any decisions selling/renting the timeshare. Utilize search engines like Google and Yahoo acting like a buyer or renter. Type in keyword phrases that a potential buyer or renter would type in. That way you know your ad will be found if the consumer is searching for a company. Also, don’t list because they are ranked at the top… make sure you get traffic stats and offer reports on top ranked companies to compare side by side. You might want to check BBB records as well. Once you choose a company, you have to make sure you price your timeshare properly. Most timeshares depreciate over 30% and right to use timeshares (Mexico is right to use) depreciate even more.
