Trying to choose a holiday destination in Florida (Gulf coast – West Central) – any recommendations?
Any great places?
Any terrible places to avoid – why?
Good beaches, stuff to do, good food, etc.?
Any good websites for (large) villa rentals in the area?
Easy to get there from Tampa airport?
Anything else you can tell me that might be of help?!
Thanks everyone!
We love to go to North Reddington Beach. It is really a nice beach and is directly off of I-275 from Tampa International Airport. It has great beaches and is close enough to civilization if you need to go to a grocery store.
We always stay at the Doubletree because we get Hilton Honors points on our Visa card. Doubletree is the only chain hotel on that beach. All the others are vacation apartments and privately owned hotels. There are all privately owned restaurants and even a Thai place that delivers. But there is easy access to McDonald’s and other chain eateries if that’s what you prefer.
Here is the link to Doubletree. That at least gives you the zip code you want to search for motels, rentals, etc.Any other questions, contact me.
