I rented a villa in spain about 2 weeks ago and the landlord said she is keeping the deposit.?
the reasons she mentioned for keeping the deposit is for inconvience and extra petrol which is a joke. Infact she is looking for an extra 250 which i think is her way of trying to keep us of her back about the deposit which is not going to happen. Do i have any rights on this matter?
Yes, you have the same consumer rights as you would in the UK pretty much. Contact the landlord outlining why it’s unfair, and tell him that you’ll be taking out a ‘denuncia’ on him if he doesn’t return your deposit.
